Corpag – Chief Financial Officer

To facilitate the growth and further professionalize its finance function, Corpag would like to attract an ambitious and hands-on CFO who has the experience and drive to take ownership over the full finance and control function of Corpag. This position is posted in Amsterdam.

 

The CFO:

  • Is a member of the Executive Committee of Corpag Holding BV and reports to the CEO.
  • Plays a critical role in monitoring, analysing, explaining and managing the financial performance and key performance indicators of the group to the different stakeholders and most importantly to the Executive Committee.
  • Will need to set up and implement budget and forecasting, understand consolidation and is familiar with implementation of new IT systems (e.g. CRM tools).
  • Will play an important role in formulating and implementing Corpag’s strategy.
  • Will manage and coach the finance team (approximately 15 FTE) and handle all challenging projects to further professionalise the finance department.

Key responsibilities

  • Professionalize core financial processes;
  • Further improve the client invoicing processes of Corpag and the consolidation (e.g. explore new tooling);
  • Develop and implement budget and forecasting framework in line with Corpag’s strategy;
  • Manage, review and supervise the monthly financial close, consolidation and reporting process;
  • Provide guidance and support to the finance team in order to achieve continuous improvements through greater efficiencies and accuracy in the level and timelines of reporting to support the further evolution of the company;
  • Establish and maintain accounting and reporting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with e.g. Dutch GAAP and tax norms;
  • Manage, Review and supervise the preparation of the consolidated annual report and make sure the annual audits go smoothly;
  • Identify and seize opportunities and drive diverse projects to professionalize the finance department and the cooperation with the business.
  • Further improve and professionalize the business analyst and business intelligence function for the company (implementation of Power BI)

 

The Ideal Candidate

Education

  • Master’s degree, preferably in finance or business management, plus preferably a Postgraduate degree (RA/CPA or RC/CMA).

Experience

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant financial management experience in relevant sectors like Professional Services (i.e. Big4 accountancy, law firm or corporate services)
  • CFO experience or N-1 experience and the ambition/potential to make a step up.
  • Solid track record of success in professionalizing finance organizations
  • Strong reporting skills and preferably knowledge of Dutch GAAP;
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing, corporate income tax and tax accounting:
  • Affinity with IT/automating processes and BI tooling (Power BI knowledge is an advantage);
  • Board level experience or exposure
  • Experience in (working with) international companies and other cultures.
